Volunteer Opportunities in LifeSpan Education Programs
Our preschool programs are inclusive for children with developmental delays and children who are typically developing from six weeks of age through age six. This is a great opportunity for families, corporate groups, and students and teens to volunteer by organizing a supply drive, adopting a classroom, hosting an arts and crafts event, reading to children during circle time, providing support during lunch time, or simply rocking the babies to sleep as they begin nap time.

Volunteer Opportunities in LifeSpan Employment Programs
LifeSpan provides work opportunities to adults with developmental disabilities within LifeSpan programs and in the community. Volunteers are needed to assist as mentors by providing "into the workplace" support such as etiquette and manners, lifeskills, and friendship. Corporate and civic groups will receive a warm welcome at a LifeSpan employment program when they arrive to paint, provide landscaping, and general maintenance. Put your skills to work by offering to serve on a committee, help with the annual philanthropy luncheons, or other special events. If you have a special skill such as cooking or playing a musical instrument, our individuals would love to hear you play or observe as you cook in an instructional setting.

Volunteer Opportunities in LifeSpan Enrichment Programs
LifeSpan Enrichment consists of a diverse group of day programs for adults in a nurturing environment that includes: horticulture therapy, art and pottery, drama, residential support, a therapeutic horseback riding center, and an outdoor nature center. Be inspired to paint with an artist, throw a piece of pottery with a LifeSpan potter, or rehearse a line with someone for an upcoming production. Organize game night or host a theme party for a residential program. Plant a shrub or clear a path on the nature trail, attend a community field day or other outing, or bring your family to spend an evening feeding the animals at the therapeutic riding center.
